Thursday, June 2nd, 2005The NPfIT or “Connecting for Health” as it now wants to be called had to face up to a painful reality yesterday, that if you dont know what you are doing, all the connections in this world wont save you.
The dominoes keep falling:
First BT Syntegra is demoted from management of the London cluster because of non-delivery & Fujitsu take their place. Staff working for their subcontractors admit they are being pressured to certify systems as completed even though they know there are problems.
BT cant seem to deliver on their core competency of networking provision, the N3 broadband network is behind schedule.
Then CSC admit to delays in their rollout.
Accenture claim to be losing money and want to be paid in advance.
I will be writing up a full review of the NPfIT shortly with a focus on the recent “Doctors in the Digital World” conference held in London.
